Everything Bagel Chickpea Burgers

These everything bagel chickpea burgers are vegan, gluten-free and low in fat! Chickpeas are a good source of plant-based protein, fiber, manganese and folate. Fiber and protein work together to help regulate your appetite and blood sugar levels. If you follow a plant-based diet (or not!), you will want to add this recipe to your repertoire. These patties are perfect for meal prepping and easy to make – all you need is a blender or food processor.

Ingredients
Makes 5 Patties
- 1 15-oz can chickpeas, drained
- ¼ cup white onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves
- Juice from 1 lime
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ⅛ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp sea salt (leave out if you have high blood pressure)
- 3 tbsp everything bagel seasoning (reduce to 2 tbsp for high blood pressure)
- ¼ cup almond flour
- 1 cup frozen peas
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender until thoroughly mixed.
- Shape the mixture into 5 round patties. Use about ⅓ cup of the chickpea mixture for each burger.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Place the burgers on a baking sheet and bake for 25-28 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Serve with vegetables.
- Enjoy!
