Protein Apple Pie Rolls

This high protein dessert is an easy twist on apple turnovers! If you eat dairy, plain nonfat Greek yogurt is a great source of lean protein. One cup of yogurt packs 23 grams of protein! Protein Apple Pie Rolls

Ingredients

Makes 4 rolls

  • 4 whole wheat tortillas
  • ½ cup of unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup of plain, nonfat greek yogurt
  • ⅓ cup of egg whites
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 3-4 packs of stevia or monk fruit
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla powder (1 tsp of vanilla extract)
  • 2 tbsp of unsweetened coconut
  • 2 tbsp of crushed almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Mix the Greek yogurt with applesauce, egg whites, stevia and cinnamon.
  3. Spoon some of the mixture in the center of each tortilla. Roll like a burrito. Save some of the yogurt mixture for topping.
  4. Place rolls in a baking dish.
  5. Top with shredded coconut and almonds.
  6. Top with the rest of the yogurt mix and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Enjoy!

  • Vanilla extract
  • 1 bag unsweetened coconut
  • 1 small bag slivered almonds
